In April of 1913, the City of Bison came to the decision that the erection of a jail for the growing city was in order. John Butler was the lucky man to receive the contract for building the jail. By May the square cement, two cell jail was complete with iron doors and a concrete floor as well at a cost of $379. Its unknown when exactly it was abandoned but it is currently locked up and used as storage by the City of Bison.
